Vegetables Gardening - Growing Organic Vegetables

Hi all, I'm going to be working over the fall and winter on setting up some 18" wide by 20' long grow beds and am wondering about using coco coir as part of the custom soil mix.  Thinking about using 1/3rd coco coir, 1/3rd rice hulls and 1/3rd sand (either concrete or mortar sand).  Just wanted to get some thoughts and opinions on this mix.  By the way, I live in Huffman, Texas (north east houston) and have used the mittleider method this past spring in a small raised bed with garden soil in it and had really good success so I'm wanting to expand the garden for next year.
