Re: [Organic_Gardening] New Member
Welcome Karen
I want to come live at your house :)
Sounds wonderful !!!!!
I 'should" be changing out front window boxes and all annuals in pots on front porch,
and preparing for the fall garden.
BUT I can't seem to leave the air conditioning.

I am new here. I've seen a few members here I
have met before. I live with my husband of 52 years, on 11
mostly wooded acres on the Mississippi River side of WI just
bellow La Crosse. We are on a high ridge in the forested
area of Kickapoo Valley. We bought our virgin property 13
years ago. We have gardens and orchards on the two acres we
have cleared. We have apples (Mc Intosh, Cortlands, Golden
Delicious, Granny Smith, and Honey Crisp,) pears,(lushious,
and parker) cherries, (Northern Spy, Montmorency) Plums,
(Stanley, Sweet) cranberry bed, raspberries, black berries,
strawberries, asparagus bed, horse radish, many mints and
other herbs. We have two gardens 25'x50' and
60'x120'. We also garden in tractor tires. We have a
germination shed for early seeding. We have a
16'x22' hoophouse with growing tables. We sell
plants, fruits and vegetables as well grow our own needs. We
have a flock of layers for our eggs and a few to sell to
neighbors. My husband also sells all above, down in a small
village on a corner of busy highways.
I hope to learn and share.
