[Organic_Gardening] Re: Preparing soil for blueberries...
We dug all the soil out of our driveway turn-around for blueberries. We amended the area with ground oak leaves, lots of peat moss, pine needles by the bushel, coffee grounds, and some garden sulfur. Then we mulched well with pine needles.
We were told -- much later -- that you can't grow blueberries in our county. Glad we didn't hear that before we planted them. Ours have been growing and producing for about 18 years now. Love 'em!
Love, Linn B (aka Smart Red) Gardening in zone 4b-5a, newly 5b? -- anyway, I'm still in the same spot in south-est, central-est Wisconsin
