Hello Andrea,

Pleased to meet you and congratulations on your soon to be born baby.
I think that is wonderful that in the meantime you can do some container gardening.  I've seen some great success with this method.
I get excited when I hear someone talk about starting their seeds.  It's a miracle I can't get over.  What are you sowing?  Do you have some pics?  I would love to see what you are working on.

Hi Gary,

Too bad the contractors couldn't have placed some of that good dirt back on your property once they were done building on it.  Thank you for your offer to help with suggestions, I will keep that in mind.  I noticed you have a blog...  I will stop by and say hello.

Hi Melanie,
I now  realize how much work and care has to go into the soil to have an incredible garden. I used to think some people were just lucky to have it.  Thankfully I now know it is obtainable no matter where you live.

It's always nice when you meet someone that understands your pain, as far as our poor soil condition and leftover construction debris.I found a book on Lasagna Gardening, by Patricia Lanza, at my local used book store and I think I'm going to give this lasagana gardening technique a try...no digging or tilling.

Nice to meet you all.  My blog is daisyskitchengarden@blogspot.com  Please stop by and say hello.
Daisy
