[Organic_Gardening] Is this warm weather going to be a problem
I have an above ground planter box, 4'x4' where I plant my garlic. Usually it stays frozen here (which garlic requires) and starts sprouting in early spring and is harvested by early July. This winter has been short and incredibly warm for this part of the country - we have been having weeks of daily highs around 40, which at this time of year we are hardly ever above freezing. My garlic has already started to sprout - I even added an additional 2" of soil when I saw the sprouts about 3 weeks ago. If winter catches up and we get another round of sub freezing temps or snow - will this destroy my garlic crop?
