[MittleiderMethodGardening] Water Ordinaces

Central CA Bay Area has missed most of 2 valuable months
of rain and has just gotten a cpl+ inches of the 4+ we ought to
get in January... After almost catching up last year after 2 dry
years. Others have it worse.

There is a New-Old solution for many; GrayWater.
(This is used water, but has no connection to wastewater
in sewage pipes, which is referred to as blackwater.)

As Jim recently mentioned water, I am reminded that most
municipalities in the US *were* harsh in urban areas in their
stance against residential and suburban graywater systems.

Things are changing due to the many droughts and extended
poor prognostication by weather forecasters regarding rainfall
and snowfall. Indeed, many century-old mountain snowtop
views are soon to disappear forever it is widely reported by very
reliable sources, as they are becoming barren of any snowpack.
This was always an expected source and depended upon for
spring runoff, filling rivers and streams, which in turn partially
refill lakes and assist in filling groundwater tables, aquifers,
and reservoirs.

The Mittleider Method already uses an irrigation system that
reduces runoff and evaporation quite a bit. Using graywater
will further conserve our resources, and as water prices rise,
your out-of-pocket will also for your water bill. Graywater will
work in the Mittleider system, with little or no modification. This
is especially true if you already are set up for rainwater use.

Regulations are *now* in place or rapidly being written that
specify where and how to meet code to implement using
graywater in your area!

Quite often, municipalities will create a 1 pg cheat sheet.
See you local planning dept.
