[MittleiderMethodGardening] magnesium question - Dolomite vs Epsom Salt
hi jim,
can i use dolomite instead of epsom salt? i believe dolomite has 18% magnesium compared to epsom salt's 10% magnesium.
thank you and have a nice day.

G. V. & Group:
Dolomite lime does indeed have magnesium in it, but we do NOT recommend you use that to REPLACE magnesium sulfate, because the magnesium in dolomite lime is NOT available quickly, but rather becomes available over the course of several months.
It is good to have and use dolomite lime, but continue to use magnesium sulfate or magnesium oxide in your Weekly Feed and Pre-Plant fertilizers according to the formulas provided.
