Re: [Organic_Gardening] Re: Looking for some "serious" compost tumbler operators
Have you tried mixing the hot stuff into the not so hot stuff and then go to a dollar store and by their 2 liter version bottle of coke and then go get a 40 ouncer of the cheapest beer you can find. take the lids off and let them sit for 24 hours and then pour them over the pile. The Bacteria and the Enzymes will go hog wild and pig crazy....

Why? Because the sugars and yeast and malt are liquified and are easy for them to consume and it will give them a burst of energy.

Subject: [Organic_Gardening] Re: Looking for some "serious" compost tumbler operators
17 days after I added the last new organic matter, the temperatures of the two sides of my ComposT-Twin are diverging, even though they have basically the same contents. They both reached a peak core temperature of about 135 degrees and stayed hot for about 6 days. The right side core temperature is now staying about 115 degrees F, but the left side core temperature has dropped to 70 degrees F. They are both treated exactly the same, and are physically connected, so they both get the same turning or lack thereof. I guess I'll just keep on keeping on for another week or so and see what they do and what they look like then. So far, they have shrunk down about half, but they both still look like the shredded leaves that they mostly are.
