Dear Steve and other Texans and persons experiencing drought. . I managed
too late to get shade cloth (had to order from gardeners.com) installed over
the bed that gets late afternoon sun and tho I am seeing an improvement in
the health of my melons and cukes, I believe I am getting varmints in the
beds eating the small fruit as it emerges. .one day I will see tiny veggies
and the next day they are gone. . I'm thinking squirrels and others are
eating them for the water content, tho I do have bird baths not too far
away. . always something. .
