Re: [MittleiderMethodGardening] Greenhouse growing of greens

This sounds great and I do have a daylight basement. Being in the PNW, lettuce doesn't live through the winter here outside and gets incredibly expensive.

Are you using daylight bulbs in your system?
thank you

If you only want a greenhouse for lettuce and have a basement, we grow
lettuce in our basement under shop lights and using Styrofoam to float the
lettuce on top of a hydroponic reservoir. We used those plastic containers
that go under your bed. I also grow baby greens under the shop light in
soil.

Here's the website where we got the idea: http://edis.ifas.ufl.edu/hs184

We did add an aquarium air rock that you can buy at Walmart to help aerate
the water and they lettuce likes that better!
