[Organic_Gardening] Re: Squash bugs

Well...

I squash them and hunt the eggs. But that isn't fully effective. I DONT blanket cover my plants in dust but... I do put Sevin Dust on the first 2 inches of stem and on the ground where the stem meets the soil.

It isn't green. But it doesn't coat the leaves and flowers and it minimizes casualties and it doesn't sit on the fruit I eat. It also has stopped the vine borers which I have found no solution to in 10 years but till recently with dust. If there is an organic effective treatment for the stems, I would love to switch.

And it kill them. They all eventually walk to it.

The hatchling are soft bodied. A soap spray might work.
