[MittleiderMethodGardening] Magnesium vs epsom salt was: damp weekly feed
I'm hoping I'm not being impatient, but I am asking this question again. How much magnesium oxide would be substituted for the epsom salt....would it be the same poundage as required of the epsom salt?

Magnesium Oxide contains between 45% and 58% magnesium, depending on where you get it. When we use it we use 1/3rd as much as if we were using Epsom Salt.
Other options include Kieserite, which is 15% and also is magnesium sulfate, but has only ONE part water to each part magnesium, and magnesium sucrate, which is 35% magnesium. We use the same quantity of kieserite and 1/2 the quantity when using sucrate.
