Please pardon me for butting in, but you might want to use some gypsum to
help break up the clay. I assume you are using lime for a low pH, but I
don't think the extra calcium will hurt anything and things grow better in
clay if you use some gypsum to break it up. Bernie

I found 19-19-19 at Southern States in VA and used that. Yes that is
correct, but as I understand it you are supposed to put the weekly
fertilizer on it too. I a doing the soil beds as well. So
far everything looks good in-spite of the few mistakes I made. This method
appears to be better than anything I tried so far. We live in an area that
has red clay and lots of shade.
