[Organic_Gardening] Re: Planting corn

I live in a zone 2b/3a and I just planted orchard baby corn....56 days is what the packet says...I'll believe it when the pot is on the stove. I have a 95 day long season so I am just finishing planting my beds right now. Lots of pots, lots and lots of pots this year so I can bring them in if need be. I don't know about the heat that you will get, I only get a few days over plus 30 Celsius (nineties) but my last snow fell on June 2 (last year it snowed on July 13) so there is a trade off. LOL There are some short season sweet corns like Bantam these are heirlooms so you should be able to find them.
The worst that can happen is you plant it and nothing happens and you're out a buck or two for the seeds....on the other hand heirloom corn tastes best when the water is boiling before you pick it....lots of butter lots of butter. Best of luck and happy gardening
Cheers
Bina
