[MittleiderMethodGardening] T post, grow box, pvc?
I have 3 24" X 30 foot grow boxes.
Need to put pvc pipe and the T posts. If I put three T posts one each end and one in the middle, how do I do the pvc for the water? I am hand watering right now and it is taking so long.
Thank you, Shelly
Shelly & Group:
Beds are best at 18" widths. the extra 6" is pretty much wasted, adding water costs, more sawdust/sand, etc. and not providing any more rows of plants except with very small plants like onions.
You also need 4 T Posts in 30' beds. They should not be further apart than 10'.
And finally, the PVC watering system should be placed down the center of the bed, and placed on short pieces of 2 X 4s to keep it off the ground. The plans are free in the Files section and on the growfood.com website in the Store section, just by clicking on The Mittleider Gardening Course book. Look to the lower left of the page and you'll see Chapter 15, available for you to download.
