Vegetables Gardening - Growing Organic Vegetables

It's all over my front yard. You know, the kind with the arrow shaped leaves and reddish-brown flower stalks! I've pulled it, mowed it, dug it up, etc, etc, and now it's worse than ever. Now it's in full flower.

There's very little grass that is worth saving.

I'm thinking of covering it with clear plastic and hope everything dies in the sun. It will look terrible until I can put something in its place.

I don't have time right now to re-do the whole grass area in the front.

Would love to hear from anyone who's had this problem and how you dealt with it.

I've looked it up and got a lot of suggestions that it's a very healthy salad vegetable. Oh, Pu-leeeeze! Worst thing I've ever tasted! And very sour!
