[Organic_Gardening] Re: [TomatoMania] Re: Honey Bees

got this message from a friend who does her plants at the community garden:
This is a plea to the good folks who garden and would like to be (or already
are) part of the community gardens. This year, one of the gardeners added a
beehive to the gardens. These bees have been our dear friends and help everyone
in and around the garden (they can forage for miles). Our harvests have
increased, and the bees are very gentle. No one has been harmed by them, yet
the management requested they be removed. Please help us explain to the
committee for the garden that bees are always present in the garden, and giving
them a home (inside the middle of a fenced plot, where no one can disturb them)
is not a bad thing.
Could really use some help from those of you knowledgeable on this. I want bees
around.
