[MittleiderMethodGardening] Spacing melons and squash
Hi this is my first year gardening with this method....i have 4 15" raised boxes and I am ready now to plant. In the chart with the suggested spacing measurements it says for melons and yellow squash to space them 14" for the melons and 21" for the squash but only one row. My question is...do I plant it on one side of the row or in the middle? Did anyone have success in planting squash and melons vertically? Thank you

Plant on the side, at the base of the ridge. We have had great success growing squash and melons vertically. Any one else?
