I'm thinking you have some other kind of grub or you really only have a few per
square yard. You might not see the damage but its occurring if they really are
one of the "June Bugs" (not a technical term) Then they are doing plant damage
at some time. Most of the June bugs are leaf eaters in the adult stage and root
eaters in the grub stage. Turf grass and lawns can really suffer from the grub
stage.

Two common invasive beatles called june bugs are:

Treatment is to apply milky spore, beneficial nematodes or a BT product labeled
for use for june bug species.

I do not see any damage from the grubs in my garden. They are a sign
of how my garden soil is doing, the richer abd better the condition of
the soil, the fatter the grubs. The grubs eat on compost and soil.
They grow up to be June Bugs which do not feed on plants. I am not
bothered by them at all and see no reason to be rid of them.
