Re: [Organic_Gardening] I warned you!

Sometimes the rip it all out and start from fresh method works best. I am
doing that in much of my yard. Much of what is here I don't know what it is,
or is planted in a funny place (mint growing around the roses) or just just
plain ugly because it has not been tended in forever. I'm ripping up things
in small sections and replanting that section. As I go, I might find
something worth keeping and will work around it. Sometimes I transplant (the
rose planted on the north side of the shed that had not bloomed in years
until we transplanted). It is taking us a long time (6 years so far) to work
a small section at a time, but it is fun and it looks a little better each
year.

The most important thing is to just go out and do it. Enjoy yourself. If you
like what something looks like, then it must not be a weed. If you change
you mind later, then pull it up. If it vines and is taking over everything
around it, its probably a weed, if its ugly, its probably a weed. If its
pretty, it might not be (unless it is killing other plants, like morning
glory does)
