[Organic_Gardening] Re: Something's eating my dogwood trees
I would still guess 'deer'. They have even gotten into stores in downtown Chicago. But if not deer, how about ground hogs. A full grown wood chuck can reach up 3 feet and if it chewed the main stems, could have finished off the higher branches from the ground.
I put 4 ft. fencing around all my new trees and shrubs for the first few years.
