[MittleiderMethodGardening] Recycled Raised Beds
I had an old above ground aluminum pool with interlocking side pieces that I was going to get rid of. It was 4'h X 16'w X 32'l. I cut the sides into 1' pieces and was able to make 9 3' X 12' raised boxes. I put 2 X 3's around the top and anchored the boxes to the ground with 1 1/4" PVC pipe which 1" irrigation pipe fits into to make the hoops. I stapled row cover to 1 X 2's which attach to the 2 X 3's with wing nuts for easy removal. This also works with plastic too.
The hoops come out for working the soil. I'm still working on the compost to fill the boxes. I have all the dip irrigation ready to go once the boxes are full.
