Re: [Organic_Gardening] New to Group and Gardening

Hi Nichole welcome to the family. Hey next time you are walking down the street
look for all the plants growing out of the cracks in the cement and asphalt.
Then know this if they can make it so will anything you set your hand to. So
Check out Rhodale .com they have books that are perfect for the beginner. They
have been around for awhile (40years) and so you can get there books in used
book stores. They are hard back and in color and have step by step instructions
in easy to read big type. These will help you get started and then we here can
fill in the blanks. One more thing........There is no such thing as a dumb
question here. The only dumb question is the one not asked and we love questions
almost as much as playing in the dirt. Also you must have and imagination with
that all things are possible....
So get your game on and start asking?K!

Subject: [Organic_Gardening] New to Group and Gardening

Hi All,

I am new to the group and new to gardening. This year I decided to try my hand
at growing some food. It makes everyone I know laugh because the only house
plant I have not killed is a lucky bamboo that one only has to add 2 inches of
water to every now and again.

But I really want to learn what and how to do this because I want to eat better
quality of food. Not grown with all kinds of icky pesticides and not ripe and
tasting yucky.

I live in Metro-Detroit, Michigan. Not a wonderful climate but it's where we're
at for now.

Thanks in advance for all the good tips and tricks.

Nichole
