Re: [MittleiderMethodGardening] Where to buy Class 200 PVC (200 PSI)
I picked up two 20' trailer loads of pvc pipe off craigslist fo 50 dollars. mostly 2" and 1 1/2" 20' length unused 2 years old. I built my greenhouse out of it. some grey uv, some white and some pink reclaimed water rated. when I bought the 6 mil plastic sheeting from conley. They told me to stretch duct tape on the top side of the pipes to protect them. that in addition to uv I guess a chemical reation of the two different plastics cause it to become brittle faster? I think its the UV but since they reccomended it. I did it?

Jim,
Any plumbing supply house should have it, Winnelson is a common one in the south and Midwest. You should be able to search for plumbing supply online. If not, the big box stores should have electrical PVC (the grey kind) it is also a schedule 40 PVC that is treated to not deteriorate in sunlight. All standard PVC fittings work with it also.
Good luck,

Nelson & Group:
We have had MUCH better success with regular white 200 psi PVC than the grey electrical conduit variety. That has gotten brittle very quickly and broken.
