[MittleiderMethodGardening] Re: Does the Mittleider Method work in high wind areas?

Here in West Texas high winds are a big problem, often coupled with blowing sand that can strip leaves bare. Mittleider provides wonderful support when plants are trained up the support strings properly. I learned from the old timers here to plant Sudan, a six foot plant grown for animal feed, on the perimeters of my gardens to act as wind breaks and reduce the damage. Corn or other similar plants would work as well.
