From a vineyard I visited, whereas they have cables strung from post to post and have simple binder clips with plastic labels on the flat part of the clip with the name of the grape plant variety. Since I already have a Dymo labeler, I borrowed the idea because 1-¼" binder clips are pretty cheap. I clip them around tomato cages, and just everywhere.
Then in Excel I keep track by criteria, 1st picking (days from plant out), harvest numbers, but not weight, as I don't think it necessary.
