[MittleiderMethodGardening] How to grow tomato plants from seed
Sheesh! You would think I could put everything in one email... anyway...
I've not started my own tomato plants because I hear that they are difficult to do, so I've only bought seedlings and transplanted. THIS YEAR... I want to try doing everything by seed. Soooo, is there something special I need to know about seeding tomatoes?
And, which tomatoes are best for canning and which ones best for spaghetti sauces?

I recommend you read the Seedlings and Tomatoes articles in the FAQ section of the www.growfood.
Beyond that I highly recommend you get the book Let's Grow Tomatoes by Dr. Jacob R. Mittleider. It is only available as a digital download, but costs just $10.95, and you can get it almost instantly by going here http://www.howtoorg
Others of the Mittleider gardening books also have excellent material that will make you a competent grower of your own seedlings. Just remember that the things you read in his books are NOT suggestions, but a RECIPE for success.
I'll let others suggest which varieties are best for canning.
