[MittleiderMethodGardening] How many micronutrient packages for 30' rows

Hello!

Been a long time, but been reading the incoming emails and am getting excited about Spring coming up!!

I have several questions, but I'll start with the micro-nutrients. I'm confused. How many of the packages do I need for a 30' bed? Or do I need to calculate it according to what I am growing (been in Winter too long!).

Thanks!!

Tamara & Group:

a package of Micro-Nutrients ($10.95 on the www.growfood.com website in Materials - get your now!) includes 2 10 ounce packets. Each packet is mixed with 25# of NPK and 4# of Epsom Salt, and therefore makes about 30# of Weekly Feed fertilizer. This gives you 60# of WF for the whole package.

You will use one pound (16 ounces) for feeding a 30'-long soil-bed or Grow-Box one time.

If you are growing cabbage that 60# will last you for 12 CROPS of cabbage, since you only feed a maximum of 5 times for cabbage.

If you were growing tomatoes in a temperate climate the package would last for about 3 years, since you will feed about 10 times. However, if you're in a warm climate where you can grow from April clear into November, you may feed 20+ times, so it wouldn't last as long.

Make sense?
