Thank you Linn--wish I'd thought to tie mine so they didn't go to the bottom, but I think I might be able to tie off the toes of some of them still. I now have 14 melon babies on 3 vines (actually I think only 1 is a honeydo, so the other 13 are on 2 cantaloupe vines--amazing to me). This is very helpful.
