Re: [Organic_Gardening] New member

Hi Linda,

I agree about being busy. At this time of year there is so much to do. We're in the middle of a heatwave here in England though, so all I feel like doing at the moment is sitting in the garden and watching it grow. I suppose you're used to the heat over there, but it's quite a novelty here. I have quite a large garden, where I grow some vegetables, although with limited success. I find fruit and and flowers the easiest to grow, there seems to less that attacks them. I've treated myself to a greenhouse this year and for the first time I am growing tomatoes in there as well as outside. I'm also trying my hand at peppers and cucumbers.

What are you planting in your raised bed? Does it make gardening any easier?

Janey

Hi Janey,

I think people just get busy. I have a decent garden in Southern
California and just put in a very long raised bed (using hay and mulch)
and will be planting it for fall. We moved from Northern California a few
months ago where I had a 56 foot long raised bed. I garden organically and
use Safer soap spray when I absolutely have to get rid or treat something.

What do you grow?
